Bistro 100 maneiras: “Out of Caste,” but of the cup in your hand
September is known, by lovers of wine, to mark in the calendar the season of harvest. Already in the restaurant Bistro 100 maneiras, this month marks the inauguration of the cycle Outside of the Caste, which ensures, every Friday at lunch, a special mention to the wines that fit the meal, with emphasis, each week, for a producer that is different. Once a month, there is still a lunch Outside the Caste, with a menu of casual, was prepared in accordance with a list of various wines. Since nectars are not labelled, bottles of 100 Ways, white wines, red wines, old or new, and so many other suggestions. The first one is today, on the tables of the restaurant in the Chiado.
To mark the start of this initiative, the wines chosen for the first menu are the Quinta do Poço do Lobo, from Bairrada. Already with regard to the dishes, the chef Ljubomir Stanisic has created some suggestions to think about harmonisation with wine, such as Aspic of bivalve and green apple with cream of cauliflower, Mackerel braseada and demi-glace , and Empty matured with peppers and smoked and grilled. It is by revealing the fourth recipe of lunch. The best is to go there and delight yourself with the creations of the chef, always glass in hand.
The Bistro 100 maneiras (Largo da Trindade, 9, Lisbon. Tel. 910307575) is the restaurant where the best if you can try to apprehend this universe “ljubomiriano”, recognized and available across borders. The kitchen is, as the whole environment you created, beautiful and simple, with influences of traditional Portuguese, French and, of course, the yugoslav. As the chef likes to say: “food, house, food pot and platter”.
On the menu there are other suggestions, if you do not want to opt for breakfast Outside of the Caste (€40 with wine included), such as Cod with other (€26), Octopus, spicy with spices, bread black and puree the onion (€28) or the Tataki’entrecôte with the torricado, mushrooms and egg (€27).
