Will be a end of the year, hot in the culinary concerns in the region of the Algarve. The best chefs in the World are back and promise to surprise the gastronomic event of the author in some of the best hotels in the algarve. A constellation of stars is on the way, with the determination to place Portugal as a world capital of haute cuisine.
The Conrad Algarve, Vila Joya and the EPIC SANA Algarve will be the venue of all the stars. Between the end of October and beginning of November, will focus attention and surprise to the table with the most brilliant proposals cuisines of the World. It is in issue number 10 of the festival gourmet “Tribute to Claudia”, in the second edition of the “Culinary Extravaganza” or the third “Dinner Sensory”. Prepare your senses and discover the best cuisine of the World in the Algarve.
During three days at the Conrad Algarve, there will be five events, which bring together 15 renowned chefs who, together, boast 15 Michelin stars. But there are still four sommeliers and seven mixologistas. All ingredients are unique to the second edition of the “Culinary Extravaganza”, between 4 and 6 November, will be a success. The first dinner features the proposals of Heinz Beck, chef, host, and Jacob-Jan Boermaof De Leest, the Grand Café Krasnapolsky, Ricardo Costa, executive Chef of The Yeatman Hotel and Maurizio Servant of Ristorante la Trots, in Italy, supported by the Head Sommelier Miguel Martins of the Conrad Algarve. The program continues with a lunch in the gardens of the Conrad Algarve and with two other dinners. Each one has a cost of $ 245.
After two seasons full of success, Luís Mourão promises to return the surprise with the third edition of the dinner sensory. Without revealing details, we only know that back to the table the five senses and that the theme will be around a legend famous. With a limited number of places available, the Dinner Sensory takes place on 3 November, in the Restaurant Al Quimia of the EPIC SANA Algarve. For booking until October 7, costs €120 per person, from that date is €150.
“Tribute to Claudia”
Integrates the commemorations of the 35 years of the Vila Joya and takes place between days 10 to 12 of November. How hoedown, is held under the motto “Koschina and Friends” with the presence of Chefs with Michelin stars that have been present in other editions of the festival. The weekend will have two dinners celebration, Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday the festival ends with a lunch on the beach of the Vila Joya. Each tasting dinner costs €350 per person, the harmonisation of wines €150. There are special packages that come together one night with one dinner, from €1,300. Already this weekend the Vila Joya receives two dinner integrated in the Route of the Stars. Day 20 receives the austrian Paul Ivićo, head of the restaurant Tian in Vienna, one of the few chiefs vegetarian Michelin star. On the 21st of October, there will be a dinner called “10 Hands”, where all the Heads Portuguese with two Michelin stars, will be demonstrating his personal interpretation of “The taste of tomorrow – from origin to original crEATivity”, the theme of this year’s Route of the Stars in Vila Joya. The tasting dinner is €220 per person, the harmonisation of wine for €150.
