Il Vero: the new Italian restaurant of Quinta do Lago

Opened in June, with the arrival of warmer days at the Algarve. Installed in the venture Vilar do Golf, Quinta do Lago, Il Vero – Italian Kitchen & Bar makes a show of the panoramic view of the golf course and bet on the esplanade for a late afternoon musical, where there are many refreshing cocktails and snacks Italian. From the bar, which in a way, divides the two main spaces of the restaurant (the terrace and the elegant living room, where it almost hides the oven) the end of the afternoon are always packed by piped-in music, supplemented on Sundays with the event, “Sangria Lovers” (various sangrias and snacks), with performance of DJ & Sax live. Already on Wednesdays, the nights are the“Dine & Dance”, with live music until midnight.

The space of the family environment, the Il Vero – Italian Kitchen & Bar does not forget the more new, that can take advantage, on Thursdays, the “Kids ” Pizza Night”, with the right to an area for drawing and face painting. For kids and adults alike, the letter of pizzas offers a dozen options (between €12 and €15), from Margherita to Naples, passing by the Rustic, the Tropical, the Diavola and the Indy (with chicken, peas and curry!)

Preferably on the terrace, the kitchen bet on a menu of Italian-inspired what goes (much) further than the “classic” pizzas and folders. For this reason, will find in Il Vero – Italian Kitchen & Bar dishes such as Saltimbocca of Monkfish (€23), Rossini (€28), that is, fillet of beef accompanied with escalope of foie grãs with madeira sauce, mushrooms and potato sautée, or a Panzanella Octopus (€13). Tell with risotto of the day, although the menu ensures the daily Risotto and mushrooms (€16) and Tiger Shrimp with risotto and peas and coriander (€26). In the case of the Italian classics, the restaurant Il Vero suggests dishes such as Linguine Shrimp (€18), Ravioli Ricotta (€13), Cavatelli, served with mushrooms, mascarpone and oil of truffle (€15) and Spaghetti alle Vongole, with clams, chilli, garlic, coriander and lemon (€19).

The meats are another of the big bets of this new restaurant in an informal environment. It is advisable if you “really” Chambão of lamb (€23), already referred to Rossini and, for two people, the Tomahawk (€59), with 1250 gr and 35 days of ripening. The desserts did not detract from the concept of the house, with Tiramisú, Pannacota jasmine and Italian ice-cream handmade.

Return to the end of the afternoon (the restaurant opens all day at 16: 00), at the Il Vero – Italian Kitchen & Bar (Vilar do Golf, Quinta do Lago. Tel. 289352270) tell with a variety of snacks to share, starting with the Selection of sausages-Italian, accompanied with crostinis and marinated vegetables (€14), passing through the Bruschetta Salmon (€8) and ending in the Pâté of chicken liver served with truffle-black (€7). There is still an excellent Carpaccio of beef tenderloin marinated (€12).
