Lobster, shrimp, clams, octopus, and an almost endless list of fresh fish are some of the good reasons to visit Matosinhos. On the next Saturday, the 22nd of September, all of these reasons, adding more as it gets, with free entry, the first edition of the Festival of Fish and Seafood “love ” Matosinhos”.
The meeting point is in the Garden the Lord’s Standard, next to the famous port of Leixões and surrounded by the best seafood restaurants in the city which were one of the levers of the brand “World’s Best Fish”.
The initiative counts with 15 exhibitors, where will be presented the various dishes of fish, shellfish and seafood. The festival promises a schedule bustling with workshops, such as “Cataplana sea bass and prawns with the aroma of algae” or “Rice lobster with green wine”. Take also attention to the sessions live cooking, with chefs such as Hélio Loureiro, chief executive of the group Douro Royal Valley, Marco Gomes, head of the restaurant Workshop, Vasco Coelho Santos, head of the restaurant Eskalduna, winner of the Fork of Silver in the Guide Boa cama Boa Mesa 2018, or the chief Hugo Days which presents the theme “Brill and molecular kitchen”.
For an experience that is relaxed and comfortable, the Festival of Fish and Seafood includes a lounge with live music or DJ, so that it is possible to taste the delicacies are served up in a more relaxed way. The hours of operation for the Festival of Fish and Seafood love Matosinhos, which ends on September 30, varies according to the day of the week. On Fridays and Saturdays tell with this initiative between 15h00 and 24h00 on Sundays from 15h00 to 23h00 and on other days from 18h00 to 23h00.
