Opened it, discretely, at the end of march, in the Vilar do Golf, in the heart of the resort of Quinta do Lago, in the Algarve. If it is true that golf is to move tourists throughout the year, it is also true that it is in the warmer months and that this resort reaches its fullness in that the holidaymakers are concerned. Was thinking about this public, and still more those who are looking for a light meal and healthy, but above all, for those who do not have strict schedules when you are enjoying a few days holiday, who was born the NOA Café, with the concept Bunch All Day, because the idea is this: no rushing for breakfast, because the first meal of the day until you can be a be a snack during the afternoon, since the space only closes at 18h00. Regardless of the time, tell with always fresh products and of season (the restaurant works with local producers), dishes, light and healthy, which make up a “menu, modern, and with a noticeable influence from london, but keeping the home-style”, explains Nuno Gonçalves, responsible for the Group NOA, who made a point of bringing London to Quinta do Lago, a cook Portuguese.
In a quiet area, the terrace is the most tantalizing of the NOA Cafe (Vilar do Golf, Quinta do Lago. Tel. 289 352 274), even though the interior is very nice, with contemporary décor, cheerful, and relaxed. In addition to the fixed menu, among the classics of breakfast and lunch options, there is also an extensive daily offering of fresh salads and a special of the day for “those who are looking for something light, healthy, and relaxed, while enjoying a selection of natural juices, single or combined”.
To better understand the offering of the NOA Coffee, nothing better than scrolling through the menu, although the ideal is to come and peeking the shop windows, with the preparations and suggestions for each day (salads between €4 and €8). In the breakfast “classics”, since a selection of breads and croissants (€7) up to a wonderful eggs Benedict (€8), in addition to robust English (€14), with egg, sausage, beans, bacon, black pudding, tomato and toast. As a counterpoint, there are healthy options and natural, Greek Yogurt with jam of the season, passing through the oatmeal with seasonal fruit, Granola, homemade, with apricots, almonds, coconut, hazelnuts, orange, honey, yogurt and vanilla or the Cup-Tropical, with fruit, berries goji, and chia seeds (€6). Tempting are also the Pancakes of Mary, with maple syrup and jam (€7).
For a light lunch in summer, the heat tightens in the Algarve, the letter suggests, among the various options, beet Salad with goat cheese, crunchy hazelnuts and sauce raspberry (€12), Bagel salmon (€12), Taglietelle of wild mushrooms (€14,50) and grilled Chicken with lemon and couscous (€13,50). In contrast, there are toasts and sandwiches, with an outstanding total for the most sought after in these first months of operation: Chicken Coronation (€7), served in bread ciabata and sour sauce, curry and mayonnaise.
“Smoothies freshly squeezed”, so the offer of natural fruit juices, simple (€4,50) to the most elaborate, such as the Power of Detox, with orange, kale, collard greens, kale and mint that is fresh, and the Big Breakfast Smoothy (€6), with almond milk, mango, spinach and chia seeds. Regardless of the assumed concept of Brunch All Day, every afternoon (except Sunday, which is day off) to tell the “Tea at 5”.
