Oregano, an Italian restaurant with feet in the swimming pool

Nothing better than to mark the reopening (after winter) of the Oregano, the Italian restaurant of the hotel Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, than to organize an “Italian Week”, where there are plenty of special dishes, an “Italian Sunset Mocktail”, music and also several workshops on pizza, pasta, ice creams and wines.

So, from today, the 22nd of may, and until Saturday, the 26th, the restaurant led by chef André Basto promises to surprise and “elevate dining to a new level”, with a menu “à la carte” exclusive, which fuses “the culinary creations with the original cocktails Italian”. The highlight, in this respect, goes to the “Italian Sunset Mocktail” (€10), which combines the best natural orange juice to the subtle notes of grenadine syrup bitter.

Informal restaurant (open between 12: 30 and 18: 00) located next to the swimming pool of the hotel Tivoli Marina Vilamoura (Marina de Vilamoura, Vilamoura. Tel. 289 303 303), the Oregano presents a tempting and refreshing patio typically roman, ideal for enjoying salads varied, fresh pasta and pizzas crunchy, prepared by the “pizzaiolo” of the house, already awarded on several occasions.

Before knowing about some of the proposals of the new charter of the resdtaurante Oregano, stay abreast of the calendar of the activities associated with the “Italian Week”: Wednesday, October 24, at 17.00, will be held next to the swimming pool, a workshop dedicated to cocktails, Italian; on Thursday, you will be able to know more and to combine, pizza, and wine, and, on the 26th, learn everything about pasta and ice cream. Throughout the week, the lunches are accompanied by live music.

In relation to the letter of this summer season will be able to count with the traditional entries, where there is no lack of traditional Focaccia, Buschettas, Carpaccio and salads (between €7.50 and €13), several vegetarian dishes, such as Tagliatelle with spinach (€13,50), Lasagna Vegi (€15), with eggplant and curgete, among other ingredients, and Pasta with wild mushrooms, black truffle and mozarela (€24). Risottos and pizzas complement the offer vegetarian food of the restaurant. In Oregano, the pizza have already won fame, suggesting-among the dozen possibilities, the Calzone (€17) and the Pescatore (€20), with shrimps, mussels and monkfish.

In the section dedicated to the masses do not leave to prove the so-called “caviar” Italian (roe salted and dried), through the dish Capellini di bottarga (€16), or the classic Parma ham, with ravioli (€18). Other possibilities of the extensive the charter are Ossobucco alla Milanese (€23) and the Risotto Aragosta (€33), with lobster, lime, creamy lobster, and parmesan cheese.
