Pousadas de Portugal: Celebrate 75 years at the table
The first dish served at the time of the opening of the first Pousada de Portugal, 19 April 1942, return to the table of the current 23 units. The iconic Bacalhau dourado is just one of the specialties that promise to delight, on a menu designed to celebrate the good flavours of traditional Portuguese cuisine at the same time commemorating these jubilee of diamond of the Pousadas de Portugal.
The restaurants of Pousadas feature this special menu, a unique dining experience with the value of 75 euros for two persons which promises a journey of the senses to the flavours, and the most typical dishes, full of personality lusitana and pronounced regionality.
The journey through the history and culinary tradition of portugal, available in 23 restaurants of Pousadas de Portugal starts with a couvert regional, with three appetizers, which vary between units, and depend on the region and season of the year, to ensure the quality and freshness of its ingredients. Also, in the entry, a selection of three appetizers Portuguese, is changed seasonally depending on the location of the Hostel.
The high point of the unique menu is the main dish, a choice between two options: Cod, golden or roasted in the oven. More traditional, the second; the first is the classic par excellence of the Pousadas of Portugal as it was the dish served on the day 19 of April of 1942, at the opening of the first Pousada de Portugal.
The Trilogy of sweets closes with golden key the meal with Sericá with plum d Elvas, Sweet orange and Pudding regional egg.
In total, 23 restaurants, combining the best of the national gastronomy the buildings, spaces and environments of reference in relation to the history, architecture and culture of the Portuguese.
The Menu greeting will be available in 23 restaurants of Pousadas de Portugal, for lunch and dinner, until the end of the year, for €75, for two people.
