Restaurant Mesa de Lemos: Diogo Rocha invites Vincent Farges
Promises to stir up the cold nights of the region of Viseu the proposal gastronomic restaurant Mesa de Lemos to the Wednesday night. The dinner menu tonight, at the Table Read will present some of the dishes of the new menu from chef Diogo Rocha who challenged Vincent Farges the work products of the region where the restaurant Mesa de Lemos is located. The result of this harmony of heads promises to surprise from the first to the last dish, noting at the same time the return to Portugal, after a year of interregnum of Vincent Farges.
The dinner begins with the“norway Lobster, Daikon, Jalapeño and Yuzu” by the hand of Vincent Farges , who continues with “Oyster Velouté of Hokkaido”. Diogo Rocha enters the scene with “Lobster, red Mullet and Monkfish”, followed by “Legumes, Tuber Melanosporum, and the Head of Xara”, again a creation of the French chef. The “Bass-and-Pinion” of Diogo Rocha marks the entry in the main dishes, followed by “Bacalhau Selection Diogo Rocha and Beans)”. The “Goat Confit, Lactários, agliata garlic black, Macadamia nuts and Quince” is the last quote of Vincent Farges. The dinner ends with “Pomegranate and Honey”, the dessert author Diogo Rocha. This celebration of the gastronomic menu Costs €120, plus €40 supplement for wine.
From this Wednesday the doors of the restaurant Table we Read in Silgueiros, near Viseu (Tel. : 961 158 503) are open from Tuesday to Friday, from 20h00 to 24h00, and on Saturdays from 12h00 to 15h00, and from 20h00 to 24h00, with a new letter. Minimalist, bet on the simplicity of the dishes, but it confirms the excellent form at the moment of Diogo Rocha and young team to lead.
In these colder days, there is in the letter “Setúbal – Lobster”, “The Forest – Mushrooms”, “Market Pulses” and “Them – The Rabbit”. The proposals are still coming in “Iceland – Cod”, “Our Coast – Gold”, “Peniche – The sea Bass” and “Azores – The Cherne”. “Of Idanha – Veal”, “Serra do Caramulo – The Kid”, “Of Our Vineyard – The margaça born” and “Of Our Hives – The Honey”. Ends with the tender “Our Orchard – The Orange” , and “S. Tomé, The Chocolate”.
The Table Read was the restaurant “the Revelation of the Year” in the 2015 edition of the prizes of the guide Good Bed Good Table, in the category ‘the Good Table’, and, in 2016, was awarded with a “Golden Fork”. To mark ten years of career Diogo Rocha has recently released the book “Today – Diogo Rocha”, with photographs by Mario Ambrozio.
