from today, Friday, and until 5 November, Setúbal is the stage of a new edition of the Festival of the Oyster. The initiative joins almost two dozen restaurants setubalenses, that will serve since natural oysters up clothing more creative.
The restaurant Poço das Fontaínhas is a space that integrates this festival and features to the table Oysters to Fontaínha (€2/unit), served natural with tomato-chopped, chives and lemon. In your menu usual, the restaurant also serves Oysters natural (€30/kg) and the Oysters on the grill (€30/kg).
Located in a traditional district of fishermen, the restaurant Poço das Fontaínhas (Rua das Fontaínhas, 98, Setúbal. Tel. 265 534 807) also suggests the emblematic fried Cuttlefish accompanied with fried potatoes and mayonnaise sauce, and coriander (€14), as well as the Caldeirada à Setubalense (€32/2 people), and the Mass of ham (€38/2 people).
Today, on the first day of the Festival of the Oyster, the boss Sandra Beech will teach a cooking classat 10: 00 am, at the Tidal Mill of Mourisca. On the last day of the event – 5 November – runs a tasting commented, at 18.00, in the House of the Bay. The Festival of the Oyster is inserted into a set of initiatives, and dining that the city council of Setúbal develops throughout the year, the purpose of the promotion of regional products.
