Wines of the West on a special dinner at the Marriott Praia D El Rey
Leaning to the sea, in the municipality of Óbidos and the subject of a recent renovation, the Praia D’el Rey Golf & Beach Resort, where part of the hotel Marriott Praia D El Rey, will mark the arrival of autumn with a very special dinner, prepared by chef Carlos Gonçalves.
This evening (12 October), the dinner wine, dedicated to the wines of the West, is preceded by an event (19h00, at the bar Contact) from various references from the Cellar of Coal, a producer of Torres Vedras, with various prizes.
After the race, all participants are referred to the restaurant Romy’s Bistro, also on the inside of the hotel Marriott Praia D El Rey. The menu of this dinner wine (€42) is composed of Stones of cod in a broth of the same; Turbot with a puree of green beans, bulgur with roasted acorn squash; duck Magret with grapes sautéed, crumble spices, mashed cassava, smoked, and vegetables glace. To terminate is served, lemon Pie merengada.
It should be noted that the chief, Carlos Gonçalves was considered the best Head of Southern Europe/the Mediterranean, to be qualified for the final of the WACS Global Chefs Challenge. Is a member of the team olympic senior kitchen and holder of a gold medal.
